The Surreal Cafe Bar kicked off in 2020, initially conceived as a crazy get away from Athens during Covid. I was working full time as an architect while finishing my masters degree and I was in burn out mode. When the first quarantine came I realized it is a now or never situation, and moved to Methoni to open a bar. I had no knowledge, no time to prepare, a very small budget and an old abandoned bar to work with. It was all so Surreal it had to be the name of it!
